About Us
Hestia Rodney Women’s Refuge provides a confidential and safe service for women and children experiencing family violence.
We are dedicated to supporting women in their choices without judgement.
We are based in Auckland’s north, working with women and families around the Rodney district and North Auckland.
Our Mission
To provide a confidential safe service, which women can come to or access in the community, when their abusive domestic situations are no longer tolerable.
We support women in their choices without judgement, promote empowerment through knowledge, equity in relationships and the safety of children as being paramount.
Our vision is to develop a community environment, which accepts responsibility for the safety of family / whanau from violence and abuse.
What we do
We provide a non-judgemental space in which to discuss your individual experiences and feelings with qualified social workers.
When a women’s safety is at risk we provide crisis intervention and Safehouse facilities. Most women who make use of our services are able to remain in their own homes.
We provide them with information and support to make the changes that will enable them to live violence free lives.
Whatever choices women make, they are assured of our ongoing support. Our services are confidential and free.

- Community & home based support
- Referral to other specialist refuges
- Referrals to counsellors, support groups etc.
